The first windmill built in 1803 is said to have been wooden. In 1837, it was replaced by a stone windmill, which the citizens of Jaunpils christened the Love Mill.
In the 1940s, there were attempts to dismantle it. The old stone walls turned out to be so sturdy that even with the use of explosives the dismantling process took nearly three weeks. Now, the only remaining part is the stone boulder foundation.
