The garden got its name thanks to one of the wealthiest families in Ventspils in the late 19th century - family Reinke. Nowdays the park is opened for the comfort of Ventspils residents and guest - there are bicycle roads, bridges, benches, outdoor fitness equipment and sculptures for children, as well as a fountain in the middle of the pond. In the summer Reņķa Garden hosts open - air concerts, theatre performance, horse rides and other attractive things that suit the park.
