Seklene (also known as Seklenes Lake, Seklenezers Lake, Vellnezers Lake, Velnezers Lake) is a drainage lake in the eastern part of Puzes parish, Ventspils region. Seklene formed from the Baltic Ice Lake. It is located in the glaciocarstic depression. The bottom of the lake is sandy. The shores are gently sloping, and in the north and south, they are shallow. The colour of the water is brown. There is also a habitat for beavers.
Macrophytes – reeds (Phragmites), clubrushes (Schoenoplectus), sedges (Cyperaceae), horsetails (Equisetales), pondweeds (Potamogetonaceae), waterlilies. In 2006, it was found that bulbous rush (Juncus bulbosus), quillwort (Isoetes lacustris), many-stalked spike-rush (Eleocharis multicaulis), shoreweed (Littorella uniflora), and water lobelia (Lobelia dortmanna) disappeared in the lake.
The lake is inhabited by pikes, roaches, perches.
The lake is a part of the nature rezerve Stiklu Bog.
