Clock tower (Riga)

The clock tower of the station was built in 1965 by the project of Leningrad architects. The clock tower at that time also served as a water tower for the station's water supply system. In the late 1970s, the clock face was replaced by an electronic display consisting of 1600 lamps. 2002-2003 The old clock was demolished during the reconstruction of the Station Square and a new one was built in its place (43 meters, with the letters RIGA – 46 meters; the dial's diameter – 4.2 meters).
