Užava Baptist congregation is the oldest Baptist congregation in Latvia. It was established in 1861 when the first christening took place in Užava. The church was built in 1888. In 2011 in honour of 150-years anniversary of the congregation Užava church was renovated. With the help of several patrons of arts and local citizens renovation was finished in 9 months.
