Gostini Lutheran Church

The Gostiņi Lutheran Church is a significant monument of late classicism. The church was built between 1828 and 1830 on the right bank of the Aiviekste River.

 

 

Gostiņi Lutheran Church was consecrated in 1830. The church is a late Classicism style cruciform building with a low tower topped with a semi-circular tinplated dome. Opposite the main entrance stands a pulpit altar, which is a type of altar seldom found in Latvian sacral architecture.
