Particular manor-house is a wedding present of Baron Georg von Baehr to his son Ulrich Johann who got married with Charlotte Luise von Medem around XVIII century. The manor has a spectacular French park and Charlotte commands to build new household buildings. After the year 1766, Charlotte commands to renovate the building and decorate it luxuriously - it has 2 stories, large windows, all the doors, ceilings and wainscot are made from oak-wood and decorated with bronze. Beautiful crown lanterns, a fire place from marble and mirrors adds the luxurious effect.
Around XIX century 10th year manor is occupied by french soldiers and partly destroyed. Because of that, the second floor is removed, the manor is renovated and apartaments are made to suit the needs of a governor and various employees. On 1920, the manor is taken from the last owner - Georg Baehr and becomes a state property.
Renovated building is being run by the group of handicraftsmen “Paukers”; it is possible to purchase different kind of craftsmen’s production or together with handymen of Ance’s Bakery Association make “sklandrauši” – Latvian national pies.
