Sudmaļi waterfalls

Sudmaļi waterfalls are located in the Valgale River in Abava Parish, Talsi District, in the territory of the Abava Ancient Valley Nature Park. The Valgale River flows along a 30-meter-deep ravine and shortly before its estuary there are two waterfalls in Abava - the upper and lower Sudmaļi Waterfall. The lower waterfall is very small - 0.3 meters high and 10 meters wide, the upper waterfall is 0.6 meters high and 15 meters wide. Waterfalls have been a protected natural monument since 1957.
