Sculptural portrait of the poet Rainis in Rēzekne

On the open-air stage of Rezekne Culture and Recreation park (named also Raiņa park) takes various theatrical performances, music concerts, fairs and other events. Now it is hard to imagine, but in the center of the park in 1930 the architect Blankenberge was built four-storey building of the State School of Commerce. It was completely destroyed during the World War II. In 1972, in the park was opened portrait sculpture of Latvian poet Rainis.
