Rope bridge in Vidaga

The rope bridge over the Gauja was built in the 70s of the last century to connect the two banks of the Gauja – Vidaga and Škiņki. Damaged by spring floods, the rope bridge was restored in 2010. On a daily basis, it is used by the residents of  Pargauja to get to Vidaga, as well as by the Vidagians to go to the swimming area near the bridge, which is locally known as "ropets".
