Pedestrian bridge over the Ogre river

Bridge connecting Krasta Street and J. Čakstes Prospect, Ogre

The pedestrian bridge over the river Ogre (authors of the project: V. Salcēvičs, J. Mēness, T. Vitkuss) was built in 1966. The bridge connects the central part of the town with Pārogre, where an open-air stage, private houses built during the 1920’s –1930’s, and modern time buildings are located. The largest arch bridge in Latvia is 94 m long and 4.5 m wide.
