Monument to the Fighters of 1905 (Riga)

The monument to the fighters of 1905 is a memorial to the 1905 Revolution "Bloody Sunday". Located at the Iron Bridge on the 11th of November at the embankment, in Riga, Latvia. The monument is designed by sculptor Alberts Terpilovskis and architect Karlis Pluksne. The monument was dedicated to the remembrance of the dead, injured and drowned in the Daugava during the demonstration on January 13, 1905. The monument is located on the scene. Memorial plaque near the monument The monument consists of a granite pillar and two bronze sculptures. It was discovered in 1960. The restoration of the monument was made in the 21st century, after which it was discovered on October 18, 2011.
