Memorial Sign to The First President of Latvia Jānis Čakste

On September 27, 1924, upon arriving in Bernāti, the first president of Latvia, Jānis Čakste, was happy with the fresh air of the sea area and solemnly said: "There should be a resort here!". Two years later, a memorial stone was erected with these words engraved on it.
