John's Gate, Koknese village

The gate of John's Cemetery has remained here, even after the destruction of the medieval Koknese City in the middle of the 17th century. During the baron period, this secluded part of the cstle's territory was often visited by lovers. Eventually the gate was renamed the Love Gate and even today it is a lovely place for visitors of the park to go for a romantic walk.
