Jaungulbene Lutheran Church

The Lutheran church is located in the Jaungulbene Manor park. The coat of arms of the von Transehe-Roseneck family can be seen above the entrance door of the church. The church was built by Paul von Transehe-Roseneck, the owner of the manor of Jaungulbene, during the period from 1892 to 1893. In 1904, he ordered it to be rebuilt as a boulder chapel in memory of his deceased wife Ada.

After World War I, the building was not used, but in 1936, the Jaungulbene Lutheran parish was established which was separated from the only parish until then – the Gulbene (Vecgulbene) parish. In 1990, the Jaungulbene church was renovated. The Jaungulbene Evangelical Lutheran Church has been recognized as an architectural monument of local significance.

Not far from the church, the chapel of Erich Johann von Transehe and Barbara Elisabeth von Ceimern, of the first owners of the Jaungulbene manor of the Transehe-Roseneck family. It was built around 1892 from bricks, with stone stairs. It has a stone parquet floor made of elongated stones and a vaulted ceiling. There are two tombs in the chapel, covered with gray, polished granite slabs and with inscriptions.
