Chapel of Zalenieki Cemetery

There are three cemeteries in Zaļenieki parish area, but there were no chapels in either. Zaļenieki Cemetery, is located at the Zalenieki Lutheran Church. Here in the autumn of 2017, after the construction project of architect Aija Ziemeļniece, construction of the chapel was started, which was completed in September 2018. Construction work was carried out by the company SIA “Telms”. The area of the newly built chapel is almost 120 square meters. It features a farewell hall, an auxiliary room for a tomb store and a warehouse. The chapel is located opposite the church, and its composition is on one axis. There is a parking lot at the chapel and a lime alley planted.
