Church is located on Baznīcas Street, Aloja rural territory

In the 19th century about 700 Aloja Lutheran parishioners turned to the Orthodox faith, and in 1846 a wooden church was built. The stone church is consecrated in 1895; it is built of boulders and red brick in the Byzantines style.
