Aleksandra Čaka Street 55, Riga

In Rīga, Aleksandra Čaka street 55, a multi-apartment building with shops, built in 1910-1912, architect Aleksandrs Vanags.

This building is a National Romantic style accent in the surrounding environment. Its corner turret and some of the pediments crowning the bay windows of different shapes, create an impressive silhouette of the building. Due to the use of various types of tonalities and textures, the finish of façade is colourful. The entrance portal made of natural stone is decorated with Latvian ethnographic motifs.
