(Aesculus x hybrida) Buckeye
The hybrid horse chestnut is a summer green medium-sized tree. Leaves composed of five leaves, 10-15 cm long. Flowers yellow and reddish. It blooms in May, June. Fruit round, smooth, coming in September.
Known since 1815. Formed in the North American as a natural hybrid. It is found in river valleys and hills.
Decorative and relatively resistant to horse-chestnut leaf miner (Cameraria ohridella). Planted individually or in small groups in sunny places on sufficiently moist, fertile soils.
